Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 6, 2026
Side Mirror is committed to making our service accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or technology. We strive to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
What We Do
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and ARIA attributes throughout
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are fully operable via keyboard
- Screen reader support: Content is structured for assistive technology with proper labels and descriptions
- Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios
- Responsive design: The interface adapts gracefully across screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
-
Reduced motion: Animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting
Respondent Page Accessibility
Our anonymous feedback pages are designed with extra care. They load no JavaScript, no cookies, and no tracking, which also means they are lightweight and fast for users on assistive technology or slower connections. These pages support system-level dark mode via prefers-color-scheme and remain fully functional without JavaScript.
Known Limitations
We are continually working to improve accessibility. Currently known areas for improvement:
- Some dynamic content updates from Livewire components may not immediately announce to screen readers. We are working on improving ARIA live region support in these areas.
- CSV export files are plain data and may require a spreadsheet application for best readability.
